Only In A Story I stand on a small beach, the wind in my face When I stumble upon a bottle years old. Though I read a lot, I thought what was about to happen would only happen in a Story. I pick the bottle up hoping it was garbage But inside was more than nothing. But a letter addressed to a long lost lover, Someone who must have cared a lot to go that far to give a letter to someone in A bottle. I opened the bottle and pulled out a piece of shirt, I open it find that it’s from 1520. The letter is written to a princess named Dana From a young man named Derrick. The note was written in poor penmanship, As if who was writing it was in pain. The note was short but heartbreaking at yet, I felt guilty of reading it but I did anyway. My Dearest Dana, My heart dwells on our nights together. The way you excepted me although I was poor. The way we would look at life expecting these times never to end. I bring you news my dearest but please keep your tears. Your father had me in prisoned He did not understand our love. He put me on a small island with only enough food to last me a week. He also put me a cell with my only window facing the sea. My water is gone so I rip a piece of my shirt and put it in this bottle, it is the only Way I can contact you. I did not abandon you my love. We’ll never see each other again but move on my love. I will love you forever no matter if I die before you or if we die at the same time or If you die before me. Goodbye my love and please forgive your father. If I can, I know you can too. Love forever, Derrick. I whipped the tears from my eyes. I put the letter the letter back in the bottle and started at it for a moment. Then I threw it back it the ocean where it belonged. I looked up towards the Heaven’s and I smiled. I knew that Derrick and Dana where together. I wondered if I will have a lover who could forgive and love no matter what life Brings. Back
