She is tough as nails
Nothing can bend her
Nothing can break her
Words are futile
She brushes them off
She does not bleed
She does not hurt
Nothing can break her
Nothing can pierce her skin
It's tough as nails
When in the company
Of people that she knows
And does not know
She is so strong
People stare and wonder
How did she get so strong?
How did she get so tough?
In the darkness of the night
When no one else is there
She crumbles and breaks
The skin that seemed so tough
Shatters like glass
How did she get so fragile?
How did she get so broken?
Cracks appears
And she breaks down
Unable to express this weakness
To even those who care
So in the darkness
And the loneliness
Are the only ones
Who know she is not 
That she is far from
Tough as nails
