"Killing oneself is, anyway, a misnomer. We don't
kill ourselves. We are simply defeated by the long,
hard struggle to stay alive. When somebody dies
after a long illness, people are apt to say, with
a note of approval, "He fought so hard." And they
are inclined to think, about a suicide, that no
fight was involved, that somebody simply gave up.
This is quite wrong."

of Depression

Summary: When Finn looked up and said that he was
here, something was different, and that was the

Summary: Finn knew this was a dream before he even
opened his eyes because he wasn't cold. It was
telling that the only time he ever felt warm or even
comfortable was in his nightmares. The Grabber was

Cease To Make Other People's Lives A Burden

Fandom: The Black Phone (Movies)
Status: Complete
Words: 4,619
Rated: R
Summary: Finn didn't know what kept him up at night
more; agonizing over whether or not it was true and
letting the guilt slowly eat him alive. He tried to
be normal so he wouldn't drag anyone else down with
him, but it was getting harder and harder every day.
After everything they had all gone through, the last
thing Gwen and Dad needed was the burden of carrying
his weight. However, like most things with the
Grabber, becoming a burden also felt inevitable.
